Agnes & Dora vs. LuLaRoe (What To Know Before Starting Your Business)
Chances are you have heard of LuLaRoe, and you might be asking yourself, how does Agnes & Dora compare? The truth is, it doesn't. Both companies sell clothes. That is about the extent of the similarities.
To be honest, although I was very familiar with the LuLaRoe brand before finding Agnes and Dora, I don't know a lot about the business side of LuLaRoe. So instead of looking at it as a this or that, us or them type scenario, I will share what I know about, and what drew me to the amazingness that is Agnes and Dora.
Agnes and Dora is a clothing line that focuses on comfort and fashion forward trends. They offer a wide variety of styles, including adorable and unique tops, tunics, dresses, skirts, and leggings to fit every shape, age and personality. New styles are being released almost weekly, including so many on trend patterns and prints. Some of my favorite items available for summer are the tanks and capris.
As you start to think about joining Agnes and Dora to become an independent rep., you should put your name in the queue. It is taking about 6 weeks right now to move to the top of the queue, which is the perfect amount of time to get your A&D business ready to go.*. When you put your name in the queue, you will also be asked to enter the name of your referring rep. If you do not already have a referring rep., I would love to talk to you further about starting the process, as well as help you get set up so you can hit the ground running.
Once you reach the top of the queue, you receive an invitation by e-mail to join. At that time, you choose which inventory kit you want to start with. The current options are the Gold Kit for $3500 or the Platinum Kit for $5000. Your initial inventory does include leggings. I chose the Gold Kit and got 100 pairs of leggings and about 233 total pieces.**
Another aspect to consider with thinking about joining Agnes and Dora is the flexibility Agnes and Dora offers as you are getting started. After you order your initial inventory order, YOU ARE IN COMPLETE CONTROL OF WHAT YOU GET! That's right! You choose what you order, when you order, and how much you order. You choose the styles, sizes, patterns, prints, etc. YOU choose your own inventory. This is great for being able to curate the perfect inventory for YOUR customers to shop. In addition, there are no required monthly minimum orders.***
The final thing that drew me to Agnes and Dora is the Party Site. You guys, this is a game changer! I do not have to spend hours taking pictures, editing, watermarking, etc. every time an inventory order arrives. I simply load each item's sku into the party site, and I am done. Agnes and Dora preloads stock photos for us to use, which are linked directly to each reps party site. I am free to do flatlays and product pictures as I choose, in order to highlight outfits or must have items, but I DO NOT HAVE TO PHOTOGRAPH EVERY SINGLE PIECE OF CLOTHING! Hours saved. Customers shop my site via my link adorablechick.com. They are able to navigate by style and/or size, and can also use the search bar to find what they are looking for. In addition, it is easy to see at a glance what sizes are available for each item. I am also able to share direct links to specific pieces if I choose to do so.
Overall, Agnes & Dora is doing so many things right. I am thrilled to be on this journey with them as they grow and expand. Great things are coming. Stay tuned!
